Promotes Healthy Joints
Arthritis is an
auto-immune disease that affects the joints and degenerate cartilage making the
movement of joints difficult and painful. Arthritis progresses with age. But it
can be limited with proper nutritional supplement that help rebuild the
cartilage and synovial fluid in and around joints and increase the flexibility.
Glucosamine
It is an amino su gar
and a prominent precursor in the biochemical synthesis of glycosylated proteins
and lipids. Glucosamine sulfate is a normal constituent of glycoaminoglycans in
cartilage matrix and synovial fluid. It is t he building block for cartilage
gives the cartilage structure, strength and resilience.
Chondroitin
Chondroitin sulfate is
an important structural component of cartilage and provides much of its
resistance to compression . Chondroitin sulfate is a complex carbohydrate that
helps cartilage retain water . Glucosamine and Chondroitin are found to work
better in combination rather than when given alone. Glucosamine and C hondroitin
act synergistically in reversing damage and promoting repair at concentrations
found in plasma after oral ingestion of these agents.
Manganese
Manganese is required
in several metalo-enzymatic reactions such as Superoxide dismutase, an enzyme
used to resolve highly damaging superoxide free-radicals. Manganese being an
important part of antioxidant enzyme combats free radicals and provides
protection to cartilage.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is needed
for the production of collagen in the connective tissue. These fibres are
ubiquitous throughout the body; providing firm but flexible structure. Collagen
is a protein needed to develop and maintain healthy teeth, bones, gums,
cartilage, vertebrae discs, joint linings, skin and blood vessels. Vitamin C is
essential for the healing of wounds, and for the repair and maintenance of
cartilage, bones, and teeth.
