Vitajoint is a unique
supplement for support and maintaining the joint health in advancing age. A
comprehensive formulation that effectively takes care of the degrading joint
cartilage and helps in the regeneration and reformation of the tissue and
provides the necessary cushion.
Vitajoint tablets combines the benefit of Glucosamine with MSM (Mehtyl Sulphonyl
Methane) and pro bone nutrients like Vitamin D, Manganese, Copper, Boron, Zinc
and Vitamin C.
Glucosamine:
It acts as a precursor for the formation of proteoglycans, required for the
synthesis of cartilage. It acts as a precursor of hyaluronic acid, which is
necessary for the production of collagen fibres and stimulates chondrocytes –
the cells that produce proteoglycans & collagens. Deficiency of glucosamine and
other substances from the cartilage leads to thinning of cartilage and onset of
arthritis. This ability increases with age and predisposes the body to
arthritis.
MSM:
It is an important source of sulphur in the body. MSM stands for Methyl Sulfonyl
Methane, which is a rich source of sulphur. (Sulphur component of MSM is 34%).
Improves joint flexibility & reduces joint degeneration. Helps in reducing
stiffness and swelling and decreases pain & Inflammation. It also helps in
controlling free radical from damaging the cells.
Vitamin D3
: Vitamin D3 is an important factor in the metabolism of Calcium. It
helps in the absorption of Calcium and thereby maintaining the strength of bones
in around joints. It is estimated that low intake and low serum levels of
Vitamin D3 is associated with the progression of osteoarthritis of knee.
Copper:
It is an important and essential component of various metalloenzymes engaged in
metabolism and proteins. Copper appears to play a protective role in the areas
of inflammation and helps in reducing the same.
Manganese:
It is another important mineral, which is component of metalloenzymes and
antioxidant enzyme (SOD). It is necessary for the development of bones and
connective tissue and is thought to stimulate cartilage cell activity.
Boron:
It plays an important role in bone and joint health due to its
involvement in excretion of calcium and magnesium, two minerals vital to bone
health. Supplementation with boron has been shown to improve symptoms of
Osteoarthritis & decrease loss of Ca & Mg from the body.
Zinc:
It is an important factor in cell division and no cell can ever divide without
it. For repair and regeneration of cartilage, presence of Zinc is required.
Besides, it also acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.
Vitamin C
: It is very important factor in production of Collagen, which is the
building block and cushion of joints and cartilage. Also, it has a central role
as an antioxidant and thereby protects from free radical attack, which may
adversely affect the joints and cartilage.
